Question 1

What do front end 2018 MAZDA CX-5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1244 recorded sales of the 2018 MAZDA CX-5 with front end damage, the median was $4,400, from $3,350 to $6,100. That is 7% below the $4,750 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,050 a good price for this 2018 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

2584 comparable 2018 MAZDA CX-5 listings sold at auction for a median of $4,750, spanning $3,450 to $6,850. At $3,050 this one went 36% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This MAZDA CX-5 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this MAZDA CX-5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 MAZDA CX-5's pre-damage retail value at $14,976. It sold for $3,050 — 80% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

How far is this MAZDA CX-5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in KY - LOUISVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 500 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $425-$600, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 129,868 miles high for a 2018 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 MAZDA CX-5 listings at auction averaged 93,307 miles across 2584 sales, so at 129,868 miles this one sits 39% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
