Question 1

What do rollover 2021 MAZDA CX-5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 24 recorded sales of the 2021 MAZDA CX-5 with rollover damage, the median was $3,825, from $3,050 to $5,100. That is 36% below the $6,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,900 a good price for this 2021 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

3081 comparable 2021 MAZDA CX-5 listings sold at auction for a median of $6,000, spanning $3,700 to $9,100. At $3,900 this one went 35% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this MAZDA CX-5 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in LA - NEW ORLEANS. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 MAZDA CX-5. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 40,651 miles high for a 2021 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 MAZDA CX-5 listings at auction averaged 61,653 miles across 3081 sales, so at 40,651 miles this one sits 34% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2021 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
