Question 1

What do water/flood 2021 MAZDA CX-5 models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 30 recorded sales of the 2021 MAZDA CX-5 with water/flood damage, the median was $5,850, from $3,500 to $9,200. That is 2% below the $6,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,900 a good price for this 2021 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

3010 comparable 2021 MAZDA CX-5 listings sold at auction for a median of $6,000, spanning $3,725 to $9,100. At $5,900 this one went 2% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MAZDA CX-5 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2021 MAZDA CX-5's pre-damage retail value at $19,696. It sold for $5,900 — 70% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 MAZDA CX-5. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 MAZDA CX-5 was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 90,457 miles high for a 2021 MAZDA CX-5?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 MAZDA CX-5 listings at auction averaged 61,324 miles across 3010 sales, so at 90,457 miles this one sits 48% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
