Question 1

Was $6,300 a good price for this 2017 MAZDA 6?

Accepted Answer

309 comparable 2017 MAZDA 6 listings sold at auction for a median of $3,700, spanning $3,100 to $5,400. At $6,300 this one went 70% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This MAZDA 6 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this MAZDA 6 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 MAZDA 6's pre-damage retail value at $17,665. It sold for $6,300 — 64% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this MAZDA 6 from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in AZ - PHOENIX. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 380 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $325-$450, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "ENHANCED" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 MAZDA 6. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 20,228 miles high for a 2017 MAZDA 6?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 MAZDA 6 listings at auction averaged 82,680 miles across 309 sales, so at 20,228 miles this one sits 76% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
