Question 1

Was $3,250 a good price for this 2017 MAZDA 6?

Accepted Answer

304 comparable 2017 MAZDA 6 listings sold at auction for a median of $3,700, spanning $3,100 to $5,400. At $3,250 this one went 12% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this MAZDA 6 sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 MAZDA 6's pre-damage retail value at $11,553. It sold for $3,250 — 72% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a salvage title mean for this MAZDA 6?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 MAZDA 6 was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 MAZDA 6. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 79,731 miles high for a 2017 MAZDA 6?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 MAZDA 6 listings at auction averaged 82,421 miles across 304 sales, so at 79,731 miles this one sits 3% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This MAZDA 6 has water/flood and minor dent/scratches damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
