Question 1

This MAZDA 3 sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

What does a on-salvage-ontario mean for this MAZDA 3?

Accepted Answer

This 2021 MAZDA 3 was sold on a on-salvage-ontario. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 MAZDA 3. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 78,265 miles high for a 2021 MAZDA 3?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 MAZDA 3 listings at auction averaged 55,201 miles across 839 sales, so at 78,265 miles this one sits 42% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Where was this MAZDA 3 located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in ONTARIO - OSHAWA. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.

Question 6

Can I buy this 2021 MAZDA 3 from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2021 MAZDA 3 was listed at IAAI as lot 12506044 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
