Question 1

What do front end 2018 LEXUS RX models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 737 recorded sales of the 2018 LEXUS RX with front end damage, the median was $11,500, from $6,400 to $15,800. That is 3% below the $11,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,000 a good price for this 2018 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

1313 comparable 2018 LEXUS RX listings sold at auction for a median of $11,800, spanning $6,400 to $16,400. At $6,000 this one went 49% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS RX sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 LEXUS RX's pre-damage retail value at $26,945. It sold for $6,000 — 78% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

Is 71,439 miles high for a 2018 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 LEXUS RX listings at auction averaged 88,360 miles across 1313 sales, so at 71,439 miles this one sits 19% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

This LEXUS RX has front end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 LEXUS RX. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
