Question 1

Was $14,600 a good price for this 2018 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

1315 comparable 2018 LEXUS RX listings sold at auction for a median of $11,800, spanning $6,400 to $16,400. At $14,600 this one went 24% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a clear mean for this LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 LEXUS RX was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 LEXUS RX. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 52,271 miles high for a 2018 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 LEXUS RX listings at auction averaged 88,434 miles across 1315 sales, so at 52,271 miles this one sits 41% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2018 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Where was this LEXUS RX located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in HI - KAPOLEI. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.
