Question 1

What do hail 2018 LEXUS RX models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 29 recorded sales of the 2018 LEXUS RX with hail damage, the median was $14,825, from $8,800 to $19,950. That is 26% above the $11,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $14,850 a good price for this 2018 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

1325 comparable 2018 LEXUS RX listings sold at auction for a median of $11,800, spanning $6,300 to $16,400. At $14,850 this one went 26% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clear mean for this LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 LEXUS RX was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

This LEXUS RX has hail and left & right side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

How far is this LEXUS RX from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CO - COLORADO SPRINGS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 1,030 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $675-$975, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 54,640 miles high for a 2018 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 LEXUS RX listings at auction averaged 88,583 miles across 1325 sales, so at 54,640 miles this one sits 38% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
