Question 1

What do normal wear & tear 2017 LEXUS RX models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 12 recorded sales of the 2017 LEXUS RX with normal wear & tear damage, the median was $15,150, from $7,900 to $17,075. That is 34% above the $11,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,200 a good price for this 2017 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

2558 comparable 2017 LEXUS RX listings sold at auction for a median of $11,300, spanning $6,000 to $15,800. At $5,200 this one went 54% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This LEXUS RX sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does a clear mean for this LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 LEXUS RX was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 5

Is 132,557 miles high for a 2017 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 LEXUS RX listings at auction averaged 99,889 miles across 2558 sales, so at 132,557 miles this one sits 33% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This LEXUS RX has normal wear & tear and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
