Question 1

What do front end 2017 LEXUS RX models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 1380 recorded sales of the 2017 LEXUS RX with front end damage, the median was $10,825, from $5,800 to $15,200. That is 4% below the $11,263 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $9,650 a good price for this 2017 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

2601 comparable 2017 LEXUS RX listings sold at auction for a median of $11,263, spanning $6,000 to $15,800. At $9,650 this one went 14% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this LEXUS RX from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - PERRIS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 LEXUS RX. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 153,887 miles high for a 2017 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 LEXUS RX listings at auction averaged 99,956 miles across 2601 sales, so at 153,887 miles this one sits 54% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This LEXUS RX has front end and undercarriage damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
