Question 1

What do rear 2017 LEXUS RX models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 89 recorded sales of the 2017 LEXUS RX with rear damage, the median was $12,300, from $7,100 to $16,250. That is 10% above the $11,213 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $10,900 a good price for this 2017 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

2660 comparable 2017 LEXUS RX listings sold at auction for a median of $11,213, spanning $6,100 to $15,800. At $10,900 this one went 3% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 LEXUS RX. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

Is 78,445 miles high for a 2017 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 LEXUS RX listings at auction averaged 100,267 miles across 2660 sales, so at 78,445 miles this one sits 22% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2017 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

Where was this LEXUS RX located?

Accepted Answer

The lot was held at IAAI in AK - WASILLA. Location sets the inland transport cost to a port or a repair shop, and state title rules differ, so two otherwise identical cars can be worth noticeably different amounts.
