Question 1

What do side 2016 LEXUS RX models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 111 recorded sales of the 2016 LEXUS RX with side damage, the median was $11,150, from $6,900 to $14,900. That is 2% above the $10,900 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,700 a good price for this 2016 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

1678 comparable 2016 LEXUS RX listings sold at auction for a median of $10,900, spanning $6,100 to $15,200. At $8,700 this one went 20% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS RX sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 LEXUS RX's pre-damage retail value at $16,243. It sold for $8,700 — 46% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 LEXUS RX. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 LEXUS RX was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

This LEXUS RX has side and mechanical damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
