Question 1

What do hail 2016 LEXUS RX models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 33 recorded sales of the 2016 LEXUS RX with hail damage, the median was $14,025, from $5,500 to $17,000. That is 29% above the $10,900 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,150 a good price for this 2016 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

1668 comparable 2016 LEXUS RX listings sold at auction for a median of $10,900, spanning $6,100 to $15,200. At $3,150 this one went 71% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 LEXUS RX was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

Is 122,076 miles high for a 2016 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 LEXUS RX listings at auction averaged 113,457 miles across 1668 sales, so at 122,076 miles this one sits 8% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

How far is this LEXUS RX from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in KS - KANSAS CITY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Who sold this 2016 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was PROGRESSIVE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
