Question 1

What do front end 2015 LEXUS RX models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 29 recorded sales of the 2015 LEXUS RX with front end damage, the median was $5,863, from $3,700 to $7,200. That is 11% below the $6,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,500 a good price for this 2015 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

66 comparable 2015 LEXUS RX listings sold at auction for a median of $6,600, spanning $4,325 to $8,800. At $5,500 this one went 17% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS RX sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2015 LEXUS RX's pre-damage retail value at $19,033. It sold for $5,500 — 71% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

This 2015 LEXUS RX was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

How far is this LEXUS RX from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in IL - CAHOKIA HEIGHTS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 118,120 miles high for a 2015 LEXUS RX?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2015 LEXUS RX listings at auction averaged 105,412 miles across 66 sales, so at 118,120 miles this one sits 12% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
