Question 1

Was $6,900 a good price for this 2016 LEXUS NX?

Accepted Answer

1069 comparable 2016 LEXUS NX listings sold at auction for a median of $6,600, spanning $4,050 to $9,900. At $6,900 this one went 5% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS NX sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 LEXUS NX's pre-damage retail value at $19,783. It sold for $6,900 — 65% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a salvage title mean for this LEXUS NX?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 LEXUS NX was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this LEXUS NX from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in IL - ELGIN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 700 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $450-$675, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 56,834 miles high for a 2016 LEXUS NX?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 LEXUS NX listings at auction averaged 112,337 miles across 1069 sales, so at 56,834 miles this one sits 49% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2016 LEXUS NX come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with water/flood damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
