Question 1

This LEXUS NX sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

Is 66,012 miles high for a 2018 LEXUS NX?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 LEXUS NX listings at auction averaged 86,557 miles across 676 sales, so at 66,012 miles this one sits 24% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 3

Who sold this 2018 LEXUS NX?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was ERIE INSURANCE GROUP. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 4

What can I find out from VIN JTJBARBZ2J2161748?

Accepted Answer

JTJBARBZ2J2161748 identifies this specific 2018 LEXUS NX with a 2.0l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, turbo, premium , 235hp engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 5

Can I buy this 2018 LEXUS NX from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2018 LEXUS NX was listed at IAAI as lot 46282148 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
