Question 1

What do front end 2016 LEXUS NX models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 557 recorded sales of the 2016 LEXUS NX with front end damage, the median was $6,300, from $4,050 to $9,100. That is 5% below the $6,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,800 a good price for this 2016 LEXUS NX?

Accepted Answer

1069 comparable 2016 LEXUS NX listings sold at auction for a median of $6,600, spanning $4,050 to $9,900. At $6,800 this one went 3% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this LEXUS NX from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - SAN DIEGO. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 43,960 miles high for a 2016 LEXUS NX?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 LEXUS NX listings at auction averaged 112,435 miles across 1069 sales, so at 43,960 miles this one sits 61% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 LEXUS NX. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Who sold this 2016 LEXUS NX?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was MERCURY INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
