Question 1

What do front end 2018 LEXUS LS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 119 recorded sales of the 2018 LEXUS LS with front end damage, the median was $12,863, from $5,500 to $17,050. That is 5% below the $13,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,500 a good price for this 2018 LEXUS LS?

Accepted Answer

206 comparable 2018 LEXUS LS listings sold at auction for a median of $13,600, spanning $6,300 to $18,400. At $5,500 this one went 60% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS LS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 LEXUS LS's pre-damage retail value at $36,425. It sold for $5,500 — 85% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this LEXUS LS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - ANTELOPE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

This LEXUS LS has front end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 86,573 miles high for a 2018 LEXUS LS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 LEXUS LS listings at auction averaged 71,897 miles across 206 sales, so at 86,573 miles this one sits 20% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
