Question 1

What do front end 2018 LEXUS LS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 119 recorded sales of the 2018 LEXUS LS with front end damage, the median was $12,863, from $5,500 to $17,050. That is 5% below the $13,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $13,500 a good price for this 2018 LEXUS LS?

Accepted Answer

205 comparable 2018 LEXUS LS listings sold at auction for a median of $13,600, spanning $6,300 to $18,400. At $13,500 this one went 1% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS LS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 LEXUS LS's pre-damage retail value at $40,519. It sold for $13,500 — 67% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 LEXUS LS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

This LEXUS LS has front end and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 45,588 miles high for a 2018 LEXUS LS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 LEXUS LS listings at auction averaged 71,827 miles across 205 sales, so at 45,588 miles this one sits 37% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
