Question 1

Was $41,000 a good price for this 2022 LEXUS LS?

Accepted Answer

38 comparable 2022 LEXUS LS listings sold at auction for a median of $22,000, spanning $10,000 to $31,500. At $41,000 this one went 86% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS LS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 LEXUS LS's pre-damage retail value at $65,176. It sold for $41,000 — 37% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a certificate of destruction mean for this LEXUS LS?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 LEXUS LS was sold on a certificate of destruction. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 4

How far is this LEXUS LS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in NJ - WINDSOR. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 30 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2022 LEXUS LS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 4,846 miles high for a 2022 LEXUS LS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 LEXUS LS listings at auction averaged 28,487 miles across 38 sales, so at 4,846 miles this one sits 83% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
