Question 1

What do front end 2016 LEXUS LS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 37 recorded sales of the 2016 LEXUS LS with front end damage, the median was $6,250, from $3,250 to $10,100. That is 17% below the $7,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,300 a good price for this 2016 LEXUS LS?

Accepted Answer

81 comparable 2016 LEXUS LS listings sold at auction for a median of $7,500, spanning $3,750 to $11,250. At $8,300 this one went 11% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS LS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 LEXUS LS's pre-damage retail value at $28,753. It sold for $8,300 — 71% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this LEXUS LS?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 LEXUS LS was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

How far is this LEXUS LS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - VAN NUYS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 LEXUS LS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
