Question 1

Was $20,000 a good price for this 2023 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

502 comparable 2023 LEXUS IS listings sold at auction for a median of $13,900, spanning $5,600 to $21,000. At $20,000 this one went 44% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a clear mean for this LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

This 2023 LEXUS IS was sold on a clear. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this LEXUS IS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in SC - SIMPSONVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 41,424 miles high for a 2023 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 LEXUS IS listings at auction averaged 32,128 miles across 502 sales, so at 41,424 miles this one sits 29% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Did this 2023 LEXUS IS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with normal wear & tear damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 6

Who sold this 2023 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was TITLEMAX. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
