Question 1

This LEXUS IS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 2

What does a clean title mean for this LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

This 2024 LEXUS IS was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 3

How far is this LEXUS IS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in SC - GASTON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Charleston, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 99,999 miles high for a 2024 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2024 LEXUS IS listings at auction averaged 18,628 miles across 415 sales, so at 99,999 miles this one sits 437% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2024 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was BRIDGECREST ACCEPTANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN JTHBZ1B26R5078302?

Accepted Answer

JTHBZ1B26R5078302 identifies this specific 2024 LEXUS IS in silver with a 3.5l 6 engine, rear wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
