Question 1

What do front end 2021 LEXUS IS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 251 recorded sales of the 2021 LEXUS IS with front end damage, the median was $10,700, from $5,300 to $15,800. That is 5% below the $11,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,400 a good price for this 2021 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

590 comparable 2021 LEXUS IS listings sold at auction for a median of $11,300, spanning $5,425 to $17,850. At $7,400 this one went 35% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS IS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2021 LEXUS IS's pre-damage retail value at $37,225. It sold for $7,400 — 80% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This LEXUS IS has front end and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 37,592 miles high for a 2021 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 LEXUS IS listings at auction averaged 55,888 miles across 590 sales, so at 37,592 miles this one sits 33% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 LEXUS IS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
