Question 1

Was $9,500 a good price for this 2022 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

370 comparable 2022 LEXUS IS listings sold at auction for a median of $12,525, spanning $5,700 to $19,700. At $9,500 this one went 24% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS IS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2022 LEXUS IS's pre-damage retail value at $33,503. It sold for $9,500 — 72% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 3

What does a non-repairable mean for this LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

This 2022 LEXUS IS was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 4

How far is this LEXUS IS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in FL - OPA LOCKA. The nearest major vehicle export port is Jacksonville, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 39,094 miles high for a 2022 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2022 LEXUS IS listings at auction averaged 44,733 miles across 370 sales, so at 39,094 miles this one sits 13% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2022 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
