Question 1

What do front end 2021 LEXUS IS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 237 recorded sales of the 2021 LEXUS IS with front end damage, the median was $10,725, from $5,300 to $15,800. That is 6% below the $11,363 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $11,300 a good price for this 2021 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

571 comparable 2021 LEXUS IS listings sold at auction for a median of $11,363, spanning $5,500 to $17,800. At $11,300 this one went 1% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this LEXUS IS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - PERRIS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2021 LEXUS IS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 56,743 miles high for a 2021 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2021 LEXUS IS listings at auction averaged 55,508 miles across 571 sales, so at 56,743 miles this one sits 2% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2021 LEXUS IS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front end damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
