Question 1

What do front end 2019 LEXUS IS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 199 recorded sales of the 2019 LEXUS IS with front end damage, the median was $6,500, from $3,900 to $9,800. That is 9% below the $7,175 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,250 a good price for this 2019 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

432 comparable 2019 LEXUS IS listings sold at auction for a median of $7,175, spanning $4,150 to $11,400. At $3,250 this one went 55% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS IS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2019 LEXUS IS's pre-damage retail value at $22,617. It sold for $3,250 — 86% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This LEXUS IS has front end and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2019 LEXUS IS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 129,518 miles high for a 2019 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2019 LEXUS IS listings at auction averaged 74,906 miles across 432 sales, so at 129,518 miles this one sits 73% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
