Question 1

Was $6,100 a good price for this 2018 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

527 comparable 2018 LEXUS IS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,800, spanning $3,900 to $10,600. At $6,100 this one went 10% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a non-repairable mean for this LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 LEXUS IS was sold on a non-repairable. That is the most restrictive category: in most US states the vehicle cannot be retitled for road use and is intended for parts or export only. Import rules vary by country, so check locally before bidding.

Question 3

How far is this LEXUS IS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in LA - CARVILLE. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 130 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 LEXUS IS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 58,972 miles high for a 2018 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 LEXUS IS listings at auction averaged 86,165 miles across 527 sales, so at 58,972 miles this one sits 32% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2018 LEXUS IS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with flood damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
