Question 1

What do front end 2018 LEXUS IS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 233 recorded sales of the 2018 LEXUS IS with front end damage, the median was $6,500, from $3,925 to $9,150. That is 4% below the $6,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,250 a good price for this 2018 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

508 comparable 2018 LEXUS IS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,800, spanning $3,900 to $10,600. At $4,250 this one went 37% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 LEXUS IS was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

How far is this LEXUS IS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in OK - OKLAHOMA CITY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 450 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $375-$550, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 LEXUS IS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 77,259 miles high for a 2018 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 LEXUS IS listings at auction averaged 86,081 miles across 508 sales, so at 77,259 miles this one sits 10% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
