Question 1

What do front end 2018 LEXUS IS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 233 recorded sales of the 2018 LEXUS IS with front end damage, the median was $6,500, from $3,925 to $9,150. That is 4% below the $6,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,900 a good price for this 2018 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

508 comparable 2018 LEXUS IS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,800, spanning $3,900 to $10,600. At $7,900 this one went 16% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This LEXUS IS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

What does "ENHANCED" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 LEXUS IS. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS IS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 LEXUS IS's pre-damage retail value at $27,888. It sold for $7,900 — 72% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 6

What does a clean title mean for this LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 LEXUS IS was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.
