Question 1

What do front end 2017 LEXUS IS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 310 recorded sales of the 2017 LEXUS IS with front end damage, the median was $5,300, from $3,525 to $8,400. That is 9% below the $5,825 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

What does a salvage title mean for this LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 LEXUS IS was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 3

How far is this LEXUS IS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in KY - EARLINGTON. The nearest major vehicle export port is Savannah, roughly 500 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $425-$600, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 LEXUS IS. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 74,420 miles high for a 2017 LEXUS IS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 LEXUS IS listings at auction averaged 95,892 miles across 724 sales, so at 74,420 miles this one sits 22% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Did this 2017 LEXUS IS come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with front end damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.
