Question 1

What do side 2017 LEXUS GS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 19 recorded sales of the 2017 LEXUS GS with side damage, the median was $8,750, from $4,300 to $11,700. That is 7% above the $8,150 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $11,000 a good price for this 2017 LEXUS GS?

Accepted Answer

151 comparable 2017 LEXUS GS listings sold at auction for a median of $8,150, spanning $4,150 to $13,550. At $11,000 this one went 35% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS GS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 LEXUS GS's pre-damage retail value at $27,167. It sold for $11,000 — 60% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

This LEXUS GS has side and rear end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

How far is this LEXUS GS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CT - EAST GRANBY. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Is 78,814 miles high for a 2017 LEXUS GS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 LEXUS GS listings at auction averaged 90,634 miles across 151 sales, so at 78,814 miles this one sits 13% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
