Question 1

What do rear end 2016 LEXUS GS models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 35 recorded sales of the 2016 LEXUS GS with rear end damage, the median was $6,200, from $3,300 to $9,000. That is 7% below the $6,700 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $8,300 a good price for this 2016 LEXUS GS?

Accepted Answer

234 comparable 2016 LEXUS GS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,700, spanning $3,500 to $10,400. At $8,300 this one went 24% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS GS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 LEXUS GS's pre-damage retail value at $24,393. It sold for $8,300 — 66% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this LEXUS GS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in CA - VAN NUYS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 LEXUS GS. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Is 49,189 miles high for a 2016 LEXUS GS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 LEXUS GS listings at auction averaged 107,446 miles across 234 sales, so at 49,189 miles this one sits 54% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
