Question 1

Was $6,500 a good price for this 2016 LEXUS GS?

Accepted Answer

229 comparable 2016 LEXUS GS listings sold at auction for a median of $6,700, spanning $3,450 to $10,400. At $6,500 this one went 3% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This LEXUS GS sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS GS sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 LEXUS GS's pre-damage retail value at $18,800. It sold for $6,500 — 65% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

How far is this LEXUS GS from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in TX - GRAND PRAIRIE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 133,996 miles high for a 2016 LEXUS GS?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 LEXUS GS listings at auction averaged 107,030 miles across 229 sales, so at 133,996 miles this one sits 25% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "ENHANCED" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENHANCED is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 LEXUS GS. It marks a lot the auction has given extra listing prominence, not a statement about condition. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
