Question 1

What do front end 2017 LEXUS ES models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 511 recorded sales of the 2017 LEXUS ES with front end damage, the median was $6,600, from $3,900 to $10,000. That is 6% below the $7,000 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,400 a good price for this 2017 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

1029 comparable 2017 LEXUS ES listings sold at auction for a median of $7,000, spanning $4,050 to $10,275. At $5,400 this one went 23% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS ES sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2017 LEXUS ES's pre-damage retail value at $11,251. It sold for $5,400 — 52% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does a salvage title mean for this LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 LEXUS ES was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 5

This LEXUS ES has front end and side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 6

Is 182,162 miles high for a 2017 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 LEXUS ES listings at auction averaged 98,630 miles across 1029 sales, so at 182,162 miles this one sits 85% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
