Question 1

Was $6,850 a good price for this 2018 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

821 comparable 2018 LEXUS ES listings sold at auction for a median of $8,800, spanning $4,850 to $12,250. At $6,850 this one went 22% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

This LEXUS ES sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

How far is this LEXUS ES from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in TX - GRAND PRAIRIE. The nearest major vehicle export port is Houston, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What can I find out from VIN 58ABK1GG8JU114502?

Accepted Answer

58ABK1GG8JU114502 identifies this specific 2018 LEXUS ES in silver with a 3.5l v-6 dohc, vvt, 268hp engine, front wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.

Question 5

Can I buy this 2018 LEXUS ES from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2018 LEXUS ES was listed at IAAI as lot 45838662 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.
