Question 1

What do front end 2018 LEXUS ES models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 427 recorded sales of the 2018 LEXUS ES with front end damage, the median was $8,350, from $4,800 to $12,000. That is 5% below the $8,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $10,050 a good price for this 2018 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

806 comparable 2018 LEXUS ES listings sold at auction for a median of $8,800, spanning $4,800 to $12,300. At $10,050 this one went 14% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage-nj mean for this LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 LEXUS ES was sold on a salvage-nj. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 LEXUS ES. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

How far is this LEXUS ES from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NJ - ENGLISHTOWN. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 30 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

Who sold this 2018 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was NEW JERSEY MANUFACTURING GROUP. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
