Question 1

What do front end 2016 LEXUS ES models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 726 recorded sales of the 2016 LEXUS ES with front end damage, the median was $5,800, from $3,550 to $8,200. That is 5% below the $6,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $6,600 a good price for this 2016 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

1420 comparable 2016 LEXUS ES listings sold at auction for a median of $6,100, spanning $3,700 to $8,600. At $6,600 this one went 8% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This LEXUS ES sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS ES sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2016 LEXUS ES's pre-damage retail value at $13,220. It sold for $6,600 — 50% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

What does a clean title mean for this LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 LEXUS ES was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 6

Is 119,024 miles high for a 2016 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 LEXUS ES listings at auction averaged 110,303 miles across 1420 sales, so at 119,024 miles this one sits 8% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
