Question 1

What do front end 2016 LEXUS ES models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 716 recorded sales of the 2016 LEXUS ES with front end damage, the median was $5,800, from $3,550 to $8,200. That is 5% below the $6,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $4,850 a good price for this 2016 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

1400 comparable 2016 LEXUS ES listings sold at auction for a median of $6,100, spanning $3,700 to $8,600. At $4,850 this one went 20% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 LEXUS ES was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 LEXUS ES. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 133,349 miles high for a 2016 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 LEXUS ES listings at auction averaged 110,159 miles across 1400 sales, so at 133,349 miles this one sits 21% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

This LEXUS ES has front end and left & right side damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
