Question 1

What do left side 2023 LEXUS ES models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 19 recorded sales of the 2023 LEXUS ES with left side damage, the median was $17,625, from $9,100 to $21,650. That is 8% above the $16,250 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $20,350 a good price for this 2023 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

592 comparable 2023 LEXUS ES listings sold at auction for a median of $16,250, spanning $9,100 to $23,100. At $20,350 this one went 25% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 LEXUS ES. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 4

This LEXUS ES has left side and suspension damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 5

Is 37,462 miles high for a 2023 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 LEXUS ES listings at auction averaged 37,557 miles across 592 sales, so at 37,462 miles this one sits 0% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2023 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was AUTO CLUB OF SOUTHERN CA (ACSC). Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
