Question 1

What do rear end 2024 LEXUS ES models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 105 recorded sales of the 2024 LEXUS ES with rear end damage, the median was $18,300, from $10,500 to $24,700. That is 6% above the $17,300 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $18,500 a good price for this 2024 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

761 comparable 2024 LEXUS ES listings sold at auction for a median of $17,300, spanning $9,600 to $23,850. At $18,500 this one went 7% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This LEXUS ES sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How much below its undamaged value did this LEXUS ES sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2024 LEXUS ES's pre-damage retail value at $50,243. It sold for $18,500 — 63% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 5

What does a salvage title mean for this LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

This 2024 LEXUS ES was sold on a salvage title. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 6

Is 12,966 miles high for a 2024 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2024 LEXUS ES listings at auction averaged 23,472 miles across 761 sales, so at 12,966 miles this one sits 45% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.
