Question 1

Was $6,825 a good price for this 2018 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

804 comparable 2018 LEXUS ES listings sold at auction for a median of $8,800, spanning $4,800 to $12,300. At $6,825 this one went 22% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 2

What does a mv-907a-ny mean for this LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

This 2018 LEXUS ES was sold on a mv-907a-ny. The title type is the auction's own classification and determines what can legally be done with the vehicle afterwards.

Question 3

How far is this LEXUS ES from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in NY - MEDFORD. The nearest major vehicle export port is Newark, roughly 160 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 LEXUS ES. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 75,062 miles high for a 2018 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 LEXUS ES listings at auction averaged 84,428 miles across 804 sales, so at 75,062 miles this one sits 11% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

Who sold this 2018 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was GEICO. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
