Question 1

What do left front 2018 LEXUS ES models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 17 recorded sales of the 2018 LEXUS ES with left front damage, the median was $9,200, from $4,500 to $11,250. That is 5% above the $8,775 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This LEXUS ES sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

This LEXUS ES has left front and front end damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.

Question 4

Is 87,596 miles high for a 2018 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 LEXUS ES listings at auction averaged 85,443 miles across 821 sales, so at 87,596 miles this one sits 3% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

Who sold this 2018 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 6
