Question 1

What do rear 2016 LEXUS ES models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 54 recorded sales of the 2016 LEXUS ES with rear damage, the median was $6,150, from $3,850 to $8,475. That is 1% above the $6,100 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $7,950 a good price for this 2016 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

1389 comparable 2016 LEXUS ES listings sold at auction for a median of $6,100, spanning $3,675 to $8,600. At $7,950 this one went 30% above that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How far is this LEXUS ES from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in CA - PERRIS. The nearest major vehicle export port is Long Beach, roughly 200 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $250-$350, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 4

Is 131,554 miles high for a 2016 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 LEXUS ES listings at auction averaged 109,995 miles across 1389 sales, so at 131,554 miles this one sits 20% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2016 LEXUS ES. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

Who sold this 2016 LEXUS ES?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was AUTO CLUB OF SOUTHERN CA (ACSC). Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.
