Question 1

What does a salvage mean for this LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT?

Accepted Answer

This 2016 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 2

Is 162,711 miles high for a 2016 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2016 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT listings at auction averaged 96,128 miles across 178 sales, so at 162,711 miles this one sits 69% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 3

Who sold this 2016 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT?

Accepted Answer

The listing seller was STATE FARM INSURANCE. Seller type is a useful signal: insurers typically consign total-loss vehicles, rental and fleet operators consign on a cycle regardless of damage, and dealers consign trade-ins they do not want to retail. Each implies a different history behind the same damage label.

Question 4

Did this 2016 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT come with keys?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this lot was listed with keys present, which usually means the vehicle could at least be started or moved at the yard. Combined with undercarriage damage, that tells you more about its condition than the damage label alone.

Question 5

Can I buy this 2016 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT from AutoBidCar?

Accepted Answer

No. AutoBidCar is an archive of past auction listings, not a seller — we have never owned this vehicle. This 2016 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT was listed at IAAI as lot 46208703 and any sale happened there. We publish the record so buyers can research what comparable vehicles actually sold for.

Question 6

What can I find out from VIN SALCP2BG7GH589941?

Accepted Answer

SALCP2BG7GH589941 identifies this specific 2016 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT in white with a 2.0l i-4 di, dohc, vvt, turbo, 240hp engine, all wheel drive. This page covers its auction history only. For ownership, servicing and reported accidents, run the VIN through Carfax, AutoCheck or NMVTIS — those records are separate from ours and we cannot change them.
