Question 1

What do front end 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 75 recorded sales of the 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT with front end damage, the median was $3,525, from $3,050 to $4,700. That is 7% below the $3,800 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

This LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 3

What does a salvage mean for this LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT was sold on a salvage. A salvage title means an insurer declared the vehicle a total loss. Repairing it and passing a state inspection can convert it to a rebuilt title, which stays on the record permanently and affects resale value.

Question 4

Is 97,385 miles high for a 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT listings at auction averaged 91,647 miles across 239 sales, so at 97,385 miles this one sits 6% above that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 5

How far is this LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in MI - BYRON CENTER. The nearest major vehicle export port is Baltimore, roughly 550 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $475-$650, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 6

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY SPORT. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
