Question 1

What do mechanical 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 61 recorded sales of the 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY with mechanical damage, the median was $4,725, from $3,400 to $9,100. That is 14% below the $5,500 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,700 a good price for this 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY?

Accepted Answer

534 comparable 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY listings sold at auction for a median of $5,500, spanning $3,400 to $9,750. At $3,700 this one went 33% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

What does a clean title mean for this LAND ROVER DISCOVERY?

Accepted Answer

This 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY was sold on a clean title. A clean title means no total-loss brand was recorded at the point of sale, which is unusual at salvage auctions and typically lifts the price.

Question 4

How far is this LAND ROVER DISCOVERY from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in AL - HUEYTOWN. The nearest major vehicle export port is New Orleans, roughly 350 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $300-$425, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

What does "ENGINE STARTS" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

ENGINE STARTS is the auction's own condition note for this 2017 LAND ROVER DISCOVERY. It is a short status flag applied by the auction, not the result of a mechanical inspection. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 6

This LAND ROVER DISCOVERY has mechanical and normal wear damage — how does that affect it?

Accepted Answer

Damage recorded in two areas usually points to a heavier impact than either label suggests on its own, and it raises the odds of structural damage behind the panels. The auction records the primary and secondary areas only; it does not assess the frame. Photographs and, where available, a physical inspection are the only way to judge how far it goes.
