Question 1

What do rear end 2018 KIA STINGER models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 48 recorded sales of the 2018 KIA STINGER with rear end damage, the median was $5,200, from $3,250 to $8,000. That is 11% above the $4,700 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $3,450 a good price for this 2018 KIA STINGER?

Accepted Answer

489 comparable 2018 KIA STINGER listings sold at auction for a median of $4,700, spanning $3,150 to $7,500. At $3,450 this one went 27% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

How much below its undamaged value did this KIA STINGER sell for?

Accepted Answer

The insurer put this 2018 KIA STINGER's pre-damage retail value at $22,529. It sold for $3,450 — 85% below that. A gap this size is normal for auction vehicles: the buyer takes on the repair cost, the paperwork and the risk that damage is worse than the photos show.

Question 4

What does "RUN AND DRIVES" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

RUN AND DRIVES is the auction's own condition note for this 2018 KIA STINGER. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.

Question 5

Is 72,309 miles high for a 2018 KIA STINGER?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2018 KIA STINGER listings at auction averaged 88,356 miles across 489 sales, so at 72,309 miles this one sits 18% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

How far is this KIA STINGER from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at COPART in VA - FREDERICKSBURG. The nearest major vehicle export port is Norfolk, roughly 120 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $200-$300, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.
