Question 1

What do front end 2023 KIA SPORTAGE models sell for?

Accepted Answer

Across 2327 recorded sales of the 2023 KIA SPORTAGE with front end damage, the median was $7,000, from $4,300 to $10,450. That is 8% below the $7,600 median for the model across every damage type, over the last 36 months. Estimates from past sales, not a valuation.

Question 2

Was $5,175 a good price for this 2023 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

4845 comparable 2023 KIA SPORTAGE listings sold at auction for a median of $7,600, spanning $4,450 to $11,600. At $5,175 this one went 32% below that median. Auction prices reflect as-is condition, so the gap usually comes down to damage severity, mileage and whether the car runs.

Question 3

This KIA SPORTAGE sold without keys — does that matter?

Accepted Answer

Yes, usually. A missing key means the vehicle often cannot be started or moved under its own power at the yard, so its condition is harder to verify and buyers bid more cautiously. Replacing a modern key and reprogramming it to the immobiliser typically runs into the hundreds. It is one of the more common reasons an otherwise sound car sells below its comparables.

Question 4

How far is this KIA SPORTAGE from an export port?

Accepted Answer

The lot sat at IAAI in ID - SALEM. The nearest major vehicle export port is Tacoma, roughly 500 miles away. Moving a car that distance on an open carrier typically runs $425-$600, which is a real part of the landed cost and one reason identical cars fetch different bids depending on where they sit. Rates are indicative market figures rather than quotes, and rise with fuel prices and in winter.

Question 5

Is 28,015 miles high for a 2023 KIA SPORTAGE?

Accepted Answer

Comparable 2023 KIA SPORTAGE listings at auction averaged 49,558 miles across 4845 sales, so at 28,015 miles this one sits 43% below that. At salvage auctions mileage moves the price far less than damage does — a low-mileage car with structural damage will still sell under a higher-mileage clean one.

Question 6

What does "NOT RUN" mean on this listing?

Accepted Answer

NOT RUN is the auction's own condition note for this 2023 KIA SPORTAGE. It means the vehicle started and moved under its own power during a brief check at the yard. It is not a mechanical inspection and says nothing about how far it would drive. Anything beyond that has to come from the photos and a physical inspection.
